How important refurbishment and maintenance is.  We clear out the rubbish and fix those things that need our attention.  The buildings here at Calvary have been undergoing a massive refurbishment project focussing on the Fellowship Halls.  This has included everything from a new roof to improvements in the toilets, so by the end of this year we hope that every area has at least had a fresh lick of paint.

We have also been changing things on the website with a new area adding free online teaching from several Pastors in our Teaching For Today section.  Soon our new Children's Ministry section will be added with information on the exciting changes going on in this ministry.  We also have the various ministries beginning again at the end of this month and beginning of September.

The website also will soon have a facelift and some pages will be removed to make way for the increase in other sections of this important online ministry.  As ever we continue to do our best to bring you up to date information, excellent teaching with is doctrinally sound, and coming events through the calendar, several CMG pages  and more.  Watch this space for more details....

So much has been going on in the past couple of weeks I didn't have time to update our blog.  However, now I have so much to share that I can't fit it all in one post.  Many exciting changes are happening at Calvary Christian Fellowship, Motherwell - some are online changes while others are taking place, or continuing to take place within the church and its buildings. Keep up to date here....

Teaching For Today has been given its own section of our website for monthly online studies from several different pastors.  While David's studies can still be found in the usual way, the new section brings variety for those who want more than just one person's studies available in one place.  The new section goes live on Friday 1st August though the homepage is available now.  Every month there will be a new set of studies to listen to which will be announced at least a week before they begin.  In August we kick off with studies in Genesis, Proverbs, Revelation, Matthew (TBC), Holy Spirit Series and We The Church Series.  For more information contact us here.

Today marked the beginning of our two-week Summer Bible Club Power-Lab.  This is running for kids between the ages of 5 and 12, with a nursery available for those under 5.  Kids enjoyed the games, singing, dancing, crafts, snacks and other activities which all were centred around finding out more about God.  Everyone joined in the fun and when we showed an episode with Chadder on the DVD not one sound could be heard in the room!!  I've never known kids be so quiet before!

Calvary Christian Fellowship in Motherwell will not only be running Summer Bible Club this summer.  This Thursday July 17th we will have our Total Worship evening. We also have a team coming in from Downey in California next month also which we are looking forward to.  To keep up with events check out our calendar page which we update regularly, or drop us an email at office@calvarymotherwell.org for more information.

We have added our Teaching For Today Podcasts to another couple of Podcast Sites.  Check out btpodshow.com and podscope.com and search for Teaching For Today to subscribe.  We also hope to have these up and running on podcastalley.com too and are in the process of doing so.

If you would prefer to listen online direct from the website you can do so with RealPlayer.  Check our sermons page for more information.  I'm also currently checking out some other streaming audio solutions which would allow people to listen without downloading RealPlayer - I'll keep you up to date with developments.

I have just updated the films page for Calvary Media.  Two new films have been produced and should be available on DVD by mid-September (in the US).  Dave Christiano is no stranger to film making and is also now bringing out a series called 7th Street Theater.  His new film though is called "Me & You, Us, Forever" and you can check out the details here.

Also just out from DRC Films is "Pilgrims Progress: Journey to Heaven", a timeless classic by author John Bunyan.  More information on this film is also available here.
