Perth experiences hot weather in most parts of the year while the winter is mild and short. The warm weather keeps most of the people out in the beaches and encourages water sports and cruise rides in the Swan River across the river moving in and out of the city. The normal summer starts in December continuing till March with January and February being the hottest months.
