Dreams, Dreams, Dreams

I went celebrating my wedding anniversary yesterday. Now whether it was something I ate or not I can't be sure. But one thing I do know is that I had the strangest dream - and in three parts. More amazing (although I am prone to vivid dreams) this dream was so vivid that it stayed with me all the next day in cinematic detail.

Scene 1: I find a friend lying on the floor in the toilet curled up long side the toilet bowl. She is barely comscious and incoherent. I feel it unwise to move her as I don't know what's happened. I ask someone with a mobile who happens to be standing close by to call for an ambulance. We wait and wait. We must have gone off for awhile because I return from time to time to check check on my friend. She has not moved.

Scene 2: I am reading the newspaper. In the 'Letters to the Editor' I find a letter from my friend. In it she thanks all those who helped her after her collapse but indicates that if someone had looked at her index finger before they moved her, they would have known not to have rolled her onto her back.

Scene 2: As though with a 'fly on the wall' view I am looking in at my friend in her hospital bed. The dietician is discussing the menu for the meals of the day. My friend insists she is happy with the meals available but she'd like them in a different order. The dietician assures her that can be arranged. She can have meals in whatever order she likes - breakfast menu at lunch, dinner menu for breakfast, lunch menu for supper.

Now if that isn't a warning not to eat Irish Cream Cheesecake after 8.00pm, I don't know what is.'

It has been so long since I entered my first post here that I had forgotten how to do it. It has taken me hours to find a way to edit my previous post and add a new one - and all because I neglected one small feature: the password for the blog is not the same as the one I have for webring's other functions. My next challenge will be to see whether I can change my password to a more user friendly one. Here's hoping.

My other hope is that the calender will kindly roll over to 2010 now that I have added a new entry.

Bye now

Mabel K
