June 6: Oooooooops!
The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, p. 96 124.6 miles mixed, sweater and sunscreen. 87 recordings of 22 types. 50% clear. Hahaha! Good Morning, Lefties. Charming. Ron called me first today. Well, actually, no, he called somebody, but it wasn't me. In any case, when I called him, he thought I'd figured out it was caller ID. Whatever, he said he would pick me up. I then went to run some errands, bought some forever stamps, got a birthday card for my brother, picked up my prescriptions, and dropped off the check at WPAC for the membership luncheon next week. Then I got gas, at pump 11, and had 11.11 change. (Then, most annoyingly, they dropped the price 4 cents a gallon while we were gone. Grumble.) The concert was a singer and band doing Doris Day songs (with DD's approval.) Ron says Doris Day was his girlfriend when he was young! On the way to the church, going through the Capitol grounds, I saw a geocaching friend. She said "see you Friday!" and I didn't know what she was talking about. Apparently I was invited to a geocaching run, with 100 caches planned on the day. (I never actually found the invitation, so it may have fallen through.) I was really sorry to miss this, but have to be in Novato that day. Roni owes me big time!! After the concert we went back to the Thai food place. Yum. Then when I was talking to Vince tonight he said Niki'd given him a book. I wondered why she was giving him stuff... then remembered, oh my, that his birthday is tomorrow and I'd completely forgotten. Guilt!! Reading: The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire (vol 1), Edward Gibbon, The Bible (1 Machabees), A Healing Year, Alaric Lewis, The Introduction to the Devout Life, St. Francis de Sales, Blue Highways, William Least Heat Moon, Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand, Galapagos, a Natural History, Michael H.
