February 20: A Cheering Visit

This waiting to find out how things are going, and trying to be upbeat, is wearing.
Rich said, on the way to Church this morning, that he thought he was deteriorating. I don't see it, and he says he doesn't feel worse, exactly. It sounds like he's getting discouraged.

So I was especially glad when the lady who took my retreat came by. She had beautiful pink roses that disappear against the pink fireplace wall.  But the best thing was her visit: she gave Rich a big hug and stayed chatting for about an hour and really cheered him up. He's such a social being!

They win with a sweeping majority not seen since the 20’s and they act as if they won by the skin of their teeth. The difference between Rep and Dems, the Dems have the balls to enact their hardcore leftist agenda and the Republicans are terrified fo upseting the voter base. If you can’t see the writing on the wall then it’s time to find those who do and will act boldly. Now is NOT the time to be punting when our system is near collapse.

The argument for NRLB Obsolescence.

Republicans cut $50 million from the NRLB’s budget, in part because of their efforts to lower government spending, and in part to stop the NRLB from pushing de facto Card Check regulations.  The recess appointment and renomination of Craig Becker played no small role in the budget cuts, too.  The White House provoked that fight with the recess appointment, and this is the penalty to be paid.
...If Congress thinks that an NFL lockout is a priority, well, that explains a lot about Congress, the federal budget, and the insane growth of federal jurisdictions over the last several decades.

No surprise here.

Heh…I was traveling this past week and missed the “lowest sh**” flub. Yet another WIBDI moment.
But I had to go with his reprise of “acted stupidly” since he clearly doesn’t learn from his mistakes.

My cowboys disappointed me on the Amazing Race.
