St. John's Vision Statement
As a people of God, we choose to express our faith through interactive worship and dynamic ministry, and to utilize our financial and human gifts with responsible stewardship to compassionately and actively care for and serve our parish, our community, and anywhere God calls us.

The parish of St. John the Evangelist was founded in 1864. Services were conducted in various places until 1888 when the congregation purchased a lot at the corner of Wellington and St. James Streets and erected the present building. In 1895, a small hall was built for the growing Sunday School. Two years later the spire was erected. In the 1920's, additions included the chapel, the rounded apse behind the main altar, and more class rooms for the expanding Sunday School. In the 1950's, the cloister, the oak chapel screen and more new classrooms and office space in the hall were added. A major restoration project was completed in 2002.

The first service of St Jude's was held in the Northdale School in London Township on the 1st November, 1953. The first church building opened on the 10th of June, 1954.
In 1961, the area was annexed by the City of London and over the next 30 years the population of the area increased dramatically. |

A new building was needed. On the 1st of June, 1993, with the completion of the current building, service began in the old church and then the congregation proceeded to the new facility to complete the liturgy and officially begin worship.
