It has been a while
Well I've been kind of busy doing nothing at all for over a month. Yesterday was Independence Day here in Trinidad and Tobago. Today is another holiday yet again.
People are expressing mixed views with regard to the State Of Emergency declared by the government of the day down here. Many are upset because of the curfew imposed for various reasons. I think that results are showing almost no murders having occurred during this time and the gangs are being rounded up. People are just missing the night party and businesses have reduced profit, but so what? Safety is something taken for granted by those who have it.
I've taken some time now and again to write somethings like song but it's more like poetry. I saw Masiela Lusha writing poetry on her website so I thought that I'd try to do it more often. I've had a dislike for poetry in the past but since my personality (and other things) have noticeably changed, I've actually done it willingly by myself. I only have a few at the moment but whatever I have done so far I'll upload to my website sometime soon.
I have been also feeling like getting into the gaming vibe again. Both my Gameboy Advance and my Playstation 2 are no longer usable for gaming and I have quite a few titles for each system. I've been watching my finances carefully this year because I may have some expense in the future so I don't know whether I should purchase a Nintendo DS Lite or another Playstation 2 or if I should just put off a purchase until next year. I have many game titles which I have not played so far. I hope the media doesn't deteriorate where I have them stored..
My older brother now has access to a facility which allows him to shop on the Internet and have the items delivered to his address down here. He said that we could use it if we needed anything. My younger sister has already made purchases and he brought them for her. I don't know whether I should buy my music CD's over the Internet now because the supplier I bought from is starting to get expensive and it's inconvenient to always have to go to his store in the town area with cash (that's why my mammy usually does it for me). I know that he does that for a living to support his family and that is why I started buying from him (that's why I buy many things these days: to support the community). Anyway, I'll see how that goes.
I submitted three of my latest flower photographs to a competition on a locally-based website for a radio station. They weren't my best but I didn't put them on my website thus I could use them for that purpose. I just hope that at least one of them wins one of the monetary prizes for me.
