2013 Northwest League Divisional Realignment

For the 2013 season, the Northwest League will be divided into North and South divisions as opposed to East and West. The change was necessitated when the Yakima, Washington franchise relocated to Hillsboro, Oregon.

The South Division features Hillsboro, Salem-Keizer, Eugene and Boise, while the North includes Vancouver, Spokane, Tri-City and Everett. Teams will play 12 games against each divisional foes and 10 vs. those in the other division.

The new Hillsboro baseball stadium opening in 2013 will have capacity of 4500.

2013 Coaching Staff
In January, the Toronto Blue Jays announced that manager Clayton McCullough, pitching coach Jim Czajkowski and hitting coach Dave Pano will return as the Vancouver Canadians coaching staff for the 2013 season.

Last season was Clayton McCullough's first season as the C's manager. He was named the Northwest League Manager of the Year in 2012 as he led the Canadians to a 46-30 regular season record and a NWL Championship. For Dave Pano and Jim Czajkowski, this marks their third straight season with Vancouver.

The Vancouver Canadians will have a new trainer for the upcoming season as Reggie Mungrue replaces Drew McDonald whom the Blue Jays promoted to Class-A Lansing after a successful tenure with the C's in 2012.

2012 Northwest League Champions

September 9, 2012, the Vancouver Canadians rallied dramatically for seven runs in the top of eighth inning Sunday to beat back the Boise Hawks 12-9 and take the best-of-three Northwest League final 2-1, defending the title they captured a year earlier.

Trailing 7-5 and down to their last six outs at Boise's Memorial Stadium, Vancouver sent 10 men to the plate in the eighth on two walks, two errors, a hit batter, two singles and triple.

Third baseman Kellen Sweeney, a second-round pick of the Blue Jays in 2010, had the game-winning RBI. He also collected the game-winning RBI in Game 1 of the West Division final against the Everett AquaSox.

In Game 1, the C's scored seven in the bottom of the seventh to erase a 7-3 Boise lead and prevail 10-7. In Game 2, the Hawks stayed alive with a 3-2 victory in which they twice came from behind in the late innings and won it in the bottom of the ninth.
