What Is the One Thing?

The Bright Spot of Our Lives

The One Thing.  We all have it.  The one thing in life that drives us, that makes us who we are.  It could be called the "why we are."  That one thing could be almost anything or anyone.  It could be a mentor, a teacher, a parent, a book or any of a million and one things, but no matter what that one thing is, it is indeed the essence of us.

In the movie, "The Legend of Curly's Gold," Jack Palance starred as the old and crusty cowboy who told Billy Crystal this:  "Your life is about just one thing.  Find this one thing, and everything else is easy."  Billy of course said, "so what is the one thing?"  Palance answered, "that is the tricky part.  YOU have to find that one thing!"

Finding the One Thing

The One Thing for me personally, was finding my perfect mate in life to share the ride with.  Over 40 years ago, sitting across the crowded college campus cafeteria, I found the one thing which turned out to be my one thing, my bright spot. my unwavering symbol of what my life was meant to be and stand for.  Debbie was that one thing, and much more!

To say the least, Debbie and I have been down the hard and rocky road of life.  We have lost, suffered, been rich, been broke and everything in between.  We have been through things and events where most have crumbled and given up, and yet, here we are today, stronger and better than ever, and looking forward to many more happy times together.  Finding Debbie for me, was/is the brightest part of my often times dismal and drab existence.  I need only look at her, and I know for certain that all is well in the Universe.  I know for certain that there is one person out there in the world that I can look to, trust and be with knowing full well that everything will indeed, work out just the way that it has been planned for my life.

Having said all this, I wish Debbie many more years of happiness, wellness, smiles and joys as we walk through this crazy life together!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, DEBBIE!

Looking Out for What's In?

Looking Out for What's In

We all do it. We look for answers to everything outside of our own selves. We ask the preacher for spiritual help and insights. We ask the doctor for help in healing our bodies. We ask politicians for help in solving all of our social ills. Yes, we all do this in often a begging form, expecting that another human being has insights that we do not have. We all make a mistake in thinking that another has the answer, and we are simply not good enough, wise enough, strong enough or intelligent enough to find the answers out for our own sake.

That is the biggest mistake that we make. The reason for this is what one man/woman can do, another can do! We already have the answers we so desperately seek for life, love, healing and all other answers to our lives. The problem is that we as human beings, have not yet discovered this wealth of information within us that is available any time we need it, just for the asking and realization that we can have what we seek.

There have been very few who have ever been able to tap into this great wealth of knowledge, but it does not matter, as it is there. So, how do we begin to tap into this wealth of knowledge and inspiration?

We Ask the Wrong Question!

In our seeking the so called help from another, wiser, stronger or what we believe to be authority on any given subject of the human mind, we make the big mistake of asking them for help. Any time that we ask, beg, seek or downplay our insights and potentials, we fail. We already have within ourselves, and this goes for any and all humans that are alive today, whether young or old, we all have the answers that we seek within. We must realize this and begin to ask the right questions to the right person. That person is us!

It highly possible, and most likely true that the very one we seek an answer from is simply another struggling and hurting individual. That person has discovered that through their own ego, they believe that, for one reason or another, that they have all the answers on any given subject. In other words, they are the authority and the all knowing. People of so called faith are some of the worst of all. They, like ourselves, are NOT chosen. They are simply going about making others think that they know all the answers about God and spirit. While in reality, they are quaking in their boots and being quite afraid that someone, somewhere will reveal the real answer about who they are.

We see all the time those that rise in public places to tout their religion and faith, while all the time they are really the devil in disguise. They are the first to tell their wonderful and passionate stories about how they have been saved by God, and have been given the power to heal and teach others how to live life. All this time, they know deep within they are charlatans, seeking to live out some type of narcissistic fantasy while desperately trying to show others how strong and wise they really are.

We Need No One!

In reality, we are strong, wise, competent and quite able to care for ourselves; however we do not BELIEVE this and are constantly looking outside for the answers that we already know. This would be much like being in a beautiful forest, looking for a tree!

The Problem with This Thinking

The problem with the thinking that we already know the answers we seek is that we are all going to have authority figures, or what we presume to be authority figures, telling us an entirely different story. The doctors and health care industry are going to tell us how sick we are. The preachers are going to tell us how faithless we are. The politicians are going to tell us that they can show us the way out of our financial and social disorder. Yes, all authority figures in the world will come against us all. The only way that we can come to grips with this dilemma is this.

We Must Be Still...and KNOW!

This is all that we need to do. We do not have to go out to the masses and preach from the mountains that we know all about life and living. We must stand quiet, strong and know! And what a difficult thing this will be. We, as human beings in the world, must always converse, chatter, brag and bellow about how good and smart that we really are. This comes most often from those that know the least about anything at all. The old saying that "the squeaky wheel always gets the grease," is not always true. Most of the time, the squeaky wheel gets replaced! Think about these words and go be quiet today, and just know. See how well your day will go!

Announcing The Creative Writing Corner!
The Creative Writing Corner - New Ring @ WebRing

The Creative Writing Corner, the new WebRing created by Clarence L Hamilton Jr, is in the process of hosting any and all authors, creative writers, and others who delve into the art of writing creatively for readers on the world wide web.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Creative Writing Corner - WebRing

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 21, 2013 - AMARILLO, Texas -- For a brief background of WebRing, the author will go first to Wikipedia:  "A webring (or web ring) is a collection of websites linked together in a circular structure, and usually organized around a specific theme, often educational or social.  They were popular in the 1990s and early 2000s, particularly among amateur websites.

To be a part of the webring, each site has a common navigation bar; it contains links to the previous and next site. By selecting next (or previous) repeatedly, the user will eventually reach the site they started at; this is the origin of the term webring. However, the select-through route around the ring is usually supplemented by a central site with links to all member sites; this prevents the ring from breaking completely if a member site goes offline. A web ring is managed from one website which is able to omit the websites that have dropped out or are no longer reachable. The advantage of a web ring is that if the user is interested in the topic on one website, they can quickly connect to another website on the same topic.  Webrings usually have a moderator who decides which pages to include in the web ring. After approval, webmasters add their pages to the ring by 'linking in' to the ring; this requires adding the necessary HTML or JavaScript to their site.

Sites usually join a webring in order to receive traffic from related sites. When used to improve search engine rankings, webrings can be considered a search engine optimization technique."

This simple explanation is not adequate to pierce to the heart of WebRing.  The social interaction with like minded individuals is actually the core of the success fo any of the WebRing services offered.  The article today concerns one of the newest WebRings Titled:

The Creative Writing Corner:  http://webring.seobyclh.com/

This new WebRing created by Clarence L Hamilton Jr, "Ham," will host any author seeking more notoriety and presence for their finest collections of articles, poetry and literally all literature formats will be most welcome to take part.

Hamilton says of the new Webring, "I have been with the WebRing system for a short time;  however, the interaction with the other authors there, is well worth the time and effort to build a presence using their simple and effective suite of site building tools."

Even tough the Wikipedia article above is outdated, WebRing is a very powerful presence on Google, and it should be duly noted that people taking an active participation there are rewarded in numerous ways.

The primary reason that Hamilton became involved with WebRing is discussed here.  "I am quite proficient at site building, HTML and PHP coding.  I was surfing one day and came across a WebRing site with the NavBar attached to it.  Like in this site:  Creative Writing:  http://clarencelhamiltonjr.com/  I started looking at the different features, and decided that the WebRing was perfect to host some of my creative writing articles.  This is my primary objective these days, is to just write creatively, and attract other readers to my articles."

The simplicity of WebRing, the great tools and social interaction make it a natural for authors and readers of the world wide web to come and gather together and share their wonderful works of literary art.

Ham personally invites any and all to view the links above, and take an active pat in the newest WebRing:  "The Creative Writing Corner."

What Is Creative Writing?

Today, yes today was one of those special epiphanic days where everything falls effortlessly into place, and all of a sudden, the focus, intent and purpose becomes crystal clear.

I knew that my mission in this life in 2013, is to become a published author. A lifelong dream of mine since the tender age of 11, at 60 years young, I am able to fully realize, visualize and plan the new book in my mind, and the work has already been done. When I say this, I simply mean that my book is written by the Universe, not be me! Now this is not some New Age hocus pocus drug induced stupor. This is fact. This is real. And it will happen, and I really will have very little to do with it. I visualized long ago this book, and now it will happen!

Podcast Series

Creative Writing Podcast Series is now live. Here, I will be adding additional insights, but more than that, I will most likely actually podcast my creative writing articles for those that choose to follow my work.

The great thing about the podcast is that they offer a way for everyone to listen and enjoy the summaries and stories, rather than have to read them. I enjoy the podcast and will strive to supply an adequate amount of them for my listening and reading audience.

Simplicity

Simplicity

Today, I wrote a new post concerning simplicity, and the importance of that element within our lives. It is quite obvious that simplicity has gone past many of us, and that is quite the shame for as the way that I see it, simplicity is the only thing that makes sense, and should be the only goal to pursue. If we do a great job of simplifying our lives, then all else falls into place naturally and easily.

It would seem that most people that I have mentored and taught over the years find it very difficult to think and act simply. They have a tendency to over state, over think, over do and certainly over strive for the very things that they are seeking to obtain. If they were to simply slow down, and listen to THEMSELVES for a change, they would find that they do NOT need a mentor, a book, a recording, a Zen master, or any of the other things that they try to use to achieve inner and lasting peace. It is available to any and all, right here and now!

That has to be the best news that I could convey on this day!

"One is Not Enough"
"One is Not Enough"  ( http://clarencelhamiltonjr.com/one-is-not-enough/ )

From the link above, going to the Creative Writing site, one will learn about the up and coming book by Clarence L Hamilton Jr by the same title.  Written some 40 years ago, right before the marriage of Hamilton to his beautiful wife, this short poem strikes to the heart of the matter with simple words of great meaning and inspiration.

Having the motivation to write from a very early age, Hamilton is now approaching the point where the beginning of the book will begin.  Having put everything aside, and now being able to dig deep into the subject of his interest, the new novel will be seen as an inspirational road map for the hurting and perplexed of the world.

Hamilton, author and long time philosopher and studier of life, will be sharing never before known aspects of life on this planet as we know it, and dig deeper than ever before into those mysteries.  There has never been a better time for a work such as this, and according to Hamilton, "One is Not Enough" will be a complete labor of love, and something that I have wanted to accomplish in my lifetiome since the age of 11."

Creative Writing

Author Clarence L Hamilton Jr

Creative writing leads to improved life experiences. By using creating writing techniques, one can literally open the entire universe of thought and create any kind of life the writer chooses to live.

Creative writing can, and will improve the ability to think quick, and place those thoughts in a readable format for others to enjoy. When writing, it is very important for the author to consider first, the reader, then second the intent and purpose of the article. Creative writing should be done in the quiet hours where the thinking is best done, and the artistic juices begin to flow.
