St Jude's Church, Brantford, Ontario
St Jude's Anglican Church, Brantford was built in 1871 and originally was simply adorned. Extensive alterations were made in the 1930s including paintings completed in 1936. Because of these paintings and artwork, St Jude's was designated a National Historic Site by the Canadian Government in 1996.
The 'Arts and Crafts' paintings were created by the Browne family of artists. The 'Arts and Crafts' movement was popular in the U.K. at the turn of the 20th century and reacted against the influences of industrialization in architecture by integrating natural settings, colours and themes.
The main focus of the artwork is a triptych of murals which, in succession around the nave, present events in the life of Jesus Christ from the proclaiming of his birth to His death and resurrection.
St. Jude's is often open from 9 - 12, weekdays, for visitors to enter, admire or pray.

Anglican Church in North America
June 22-25, 2009, the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) had its an inaugural assembly in St Vincent's Cathedral, Bedford, Texas to ratify its provisional constitution and erect governing structures. It was formed from 12 Anglican organizations that separated from the Episcopal Church or the Anglican Church of Canada because they believe those two church organizations have moved away from traditional Anglican teaching.
The new church has about 100,000 members in 725 congregations. Its constitution expresses the goal to seek recognition as a province of the Anglican Communion. The Anglican Churches in Nigeria and in Uganda, with their 26 million members, have already declared themselves to be in full communion with the ACNA.
The Anglican Network in Canada is a founding partner of the ACNA and is one of the 28 dioceses. A number of Anglican Network in Canada congregations are currently being sued by Anglican Church of Canada dioceses over ownership of the congregation's buildings. In the ACNA, local congregations hold their own property and the ACNA disavows any claim on the property of local congregations.
