How to Get Your Ring Featured on Showcases
Whether in our newsletters or on various front pages of the site, many rings get featured prominently. Perhaps you are one of the many Ring Managers who wonder how you can get featured, too.
Run Your Ring Well If you manage a ring, you should already know what this means. But for the sake of those who might not, here's a brief list of guidelines that all RM's should follow in managing their rings:
- Check your rings at least once a week, if not more often.
- Set your alerts to notify you of all new submissions and other related member changes immediately.
- Answer all member queries within 24 hours. You would appreciate the same.
Upload a Ring Logo We have opted not to feature some pretty terrific rings solely because the ring didn't contain any logo. NavBar logos are also an important factor in how we make our decisions on which rings to feature.
Write an Informative & Keyword Rich Description A proper description should provide information about the ring's topic and the sites that a visitor will find in the ring. In the past, we have discovered rings containing amazing sites, but the description is nothing more than a preface to applying to join the ring.
What are you waiting for? Use these guidelines to increase your chances of getting your ring featured.
Warning about Join Instructions in Descriptions Please note that we will take action against any RM who chooses to use their ring description as the place to detail join criteria. Use your Join Settings for that purpose. No amount of explanation will convince us that join instructions belong in the ring description. You may lose your ring altogether if you insist on taking this approach to writing your descriptions.
