I was excited when I first learned about Cuil. But after testing them out, I'm dubious about their longevity.

I "Cuil"ed my own name, and instead of bringing up any of my profiles, they generated a list of places I left a comment - generally on sites with high traffic. This tells me they're focusing on traffic first, and content second.

Then I noticed that they also produced a lot of spam pages or dead pages. Google cleaned up these type of search results, much to the chagrin of those who knew how to trick the bots and much to the pleasure of those seeking actual information on their subject query.

Assessment: Cuil has a long way to go if they want to improve upon Google.
